Paul Fedrick claimed to be from US Bank but wasn't

I was working on my computer and I had a virus. I called the Microsoft number shown and they removed the virus.

At 8:05 a.m. I had a call from 201 834-**** (Paul Fredrick) He told me that someone had purchased $3000 worth of child *** (www.pornhub.com) 217-290-**** (1/15/2024 text mail subscriber not available leave a message) using my checking account, and that it was verified at 4:50 a.m., that if the charge went through it would be on my record.

He asked me to go to the US Bank, 360 W. 19th Street, Costa Mesa, 92627 · (949) 642-**** and withdraw $2000 from savings and $1000 from checking. He had a Uber car pick me up and take me there. When Id withdrawn the money he had another Uber car pick me up and take me to a donut shop at 706 W. Bay St. Newport Beach 92661.

I was instructed to go in and find a yellow Bitcoin machine-it was a gray machine with a yellow box at the tope. Mr. Fedrick walked me through how to use the machine and then had a Uber take me home. He said that US Bank would pay for the three trips, but the the amounts were deducted from my account.

On Friday the 13th, Mr. Fedrick wanted me to go to Smart & Final, 707 W 19th St, Costa Mesa, CA 92627 Phone: (949) 548-**** and purchase two $500 Apple Gift Cards. On my way there Dede Wilson (949) 836-**** and Trudy Wilson (714) 457-**** stopped me and when I explained what was happening, Dede told me it was a scam. I did go to Smart and Final and learnt that they do not sell Apple Gift Cards.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with partial refund. (several radio buttons were appropriate) I received an email then a phone call from company director.

Appropriate apology, gracious offer of not only replacement of item in question but an offer of a second item free of charge, which turned out, generously, to be two items.

We had a lengthy discussion about customer service and person to person interactions, about which we agreed. Now, I will shop there again..

Regarding Paul Fredrick clothing:
I had been a satisfied customer of this company for many years, having bought about a dozen shirts and some other items. Ive just had an unpleasant and insulting email exchange with their customer service department.

Recently, having waited for the right occasion I wore it and then washed it for the first time. I will attempt to attach a photo at the end, but what happened was that the collar began separating from the body of the shirt. As always, Id followed the washing instructions. I asked for a replacement.

Their response was that I must have washed it many times, or sent it out for professional cleaning (which they, interestingly, dont recommend), or even ironed it (I never iron a wash and wear shirt, thats the point). I wrote back suggesting they must have misunderstood me and they doubled down on their assertion that I was lying. They offered me a modest discount on a newly purchased shirt. I told them not only had they lost me (and, I hope, many of my friends and colleagues) as customers, but that Id write this post and would try to spread the unhappy word as broadly as I could.

I am even considering joining Twitter and Instagram so that I might let more people know. Ive dealt with a lot of customer service operations in my more than five decades as an adult but this is the worst experience I can recall.

Any advice about how to share my experience more broadly is welcome.
You know, I dont wear, or buy, that many dress shirts anymore, and I certainly dont mind spending what I paid them (or anyone else) for a decent one. This is one of those rare, rare occasions where its really not about the money.

Pants were hemmed the wrong length

I ordered a pair of dress pants. They were supposed to be hemmed to a 29.5 inch inseam. When the pants arrived, I tried them on. They were way too long. So I measured them -- aha, they are 30.5 inch in length. Customer service says tailored items cannot be returned for refund. Ok but how about I return them for correction? The company says that if I return them then they will measure the pants and if they measure them to be 29.5 inch then they will just send them back to me. I decided to take the pants to my tailor and get them properly fixed. And I will take my business elsewhere.

Fasle and misleading advertising

I orders several shirts from this company and selected "NEXT-Day Air" as my shipping method... Three days later still don't have my order. When I contact Customer Service I was told that "NEXT-Day Air" can take up to 4 days. I requested a refund for the shipping and was told a flat no. The return policy stated if you want to return something for a refund that you will be charged for return shipping.

As a loyal customer of Paul Fredrick for almost 2 decades, I've had a few minor issues over the years. Lately, its seems something is wrong with the quality of product, shipping and service.

Long story short; ordered pair of shoes. Received order; incorrect shoes but making it worse, the shoes were USED!. Called Cust. Serv., was told corrected order would go out with 2 day delivery.

Nope. Noticing I had not received an email with shipment notification, I again called Cust. Serv. as the status on their website read "in process." Was informed the order was still in warehouse and "supervisor" then released it for shipping.

WHAT? You're telling me that I have to wait another week for an order YOU screwed up yet cannot tell me WHY it didn't ship other that a supervisor had not 'RELEASED FOR SHIPMENT?"

IF this were an isolated incident, I would certainly understand human error. Problem? It's not.

Same thing happened less than a year ago. Wrong order, wrong shoes....you get the picture. I have sent a letter to Neal Black, CEO, but doubt I hear back.

Bottom line?

I don't know what's going on with Paul Fredrick but from this point forward, I will think twice before buying from them again. The end of this most recent debacle has yet to be written.

Can’t complete an order.

I’ve placed a total of seven orders with them. Every order had a delay, from the company being behind with simple alterations (which ultimately ended up with them canceling the order), to items being back ordered for unacceptably long wait times. Customer service is a joke. When you call, all you get is a bunch of excuses and never a straight answer. This company could truly care less about their customer.

I saw an ad on Facebook for $50.00 off. When I ordered two shirts at $95.00 they showed up in my bag at $45.00 each and said that I had free shipping.... So far so good....However, when I went to check out, it showed $190+tax+$15 shipping....When I called customer service, a very nasty woman said that she needed the offer code. When I gave her the code that had been filled in by the site, she said that I had gotten the code wrong and that she couldn't help me. When I tried to explain that I was not the one who filled in the code, she inturupted me by saying good by and hanging up.

So glad I checked reviews before buying Paul Fredrick shirts. I had picked out several and had them in my "shopping cart" and my wife said, "Fine, but I don't know anything about this company." So I said Okay. I'll read some reviews. Wow... what an eye-opener. Shrinking, fading, tearing, lousy customer service. I'll pass on Paul Fredrick. Life's too short to put up with bad products and poor service.

I have purchased over 20 shirts and at least 15 pant,7 sportcoats and a suit aver the past several years. Wonderful quality. The couple of issues I did have they resolved immediately. Love the product and the customer service.
